Read before using these numbers

97151 and 97156 are withheld. Two official Hawaii documents disagree: the master fee schedule gives 97151 $32.13 and 97156 $8.61, while Med-QUEST memo QI-2431 gives 97151 $28.52 and 97156 $46.20. Both were read twice. Rather than pick one, neither is published. The other eight codes agree exactly across both documents.
The cited schedule is explicitly the "without modifiers" version. Hawaii tiers ABA by practitioner — HM technician, HN BCaBA, HO licensed behavior analyst — and by group size. A single unmodified number understates the tiering.
Most Hawaii members are in QUEST Integration managed care. Med-QUEST’s own memo directs providers to check plan-specific rates.
