Read before using these numbers

Rhode Island does not price the ABA CPT codes. 97152, 97153, 97154, 97155, 97156, 97157, 97158, 0362T and 0373T do not exist anywhere on the state's fee-for-service schedule — each was queried individually and each returns 'There were no records that match the selection criteria.' A control query on an ordinary office-visit code returned normal results, so these are genuine absences rather than a broken lookup.
97151 is the single exception, and it is priced only under the state's developmental-disabilities program indicators rather than the children's ABA benefit. Presenting that figure as Rhode Island's ABA assessment rate would be wrong, so it is not published here.
The state delivers ABA inside Home-Based Therapeutic Services and bills it with H-codes and T-codes. Its own standards are explicit: the HBTS certification standards are titled 'inclusive of ABA', Section 9 is 'Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services (Subset of HBTS)', and the current managed care contract defines the term 'HBTS/ABA' by reference to those standards.
None of the codes above is ABA-specific except the Lead Therapy line. They are generic Home-Based Therapeutic Services codes, and ABA is one modality delivered within HBTS. The schedule contains no ABA-versus-non-ABA rate differential.
One mapping does not reconcile and we have not resolved it. The state's 2016 Appendix 13 assigns 'Home Based - Specialized Treatment' to T1024 with modifier TG, but on the current schedule those modifiers appear on T1019 at $12.08 while T1024 carries no TG or TF rows. We found no state document explaining the change, so we do not publish a direct-service ABA rate for Rhode Island on the strength of either code.
Rhode Island is absent from our 97153 hourly comparison for the same reason as Idaho and Maine: the state does not price that code at all, so no honest comparison is possible.
Almost all Rhode Island Medicaid children are in RIte Care managed care plans. The current managed care contract makes children's therapeutic services a state-directed payment requiring plans to 'pay no less than the Medicaid FFS Minimum Fee Schedule', so these figures function as a floor rather than as the rate most providers are actually paid.
