The company behind Catalyst. Four names, three owners, and one date nobody has ever published.
If you use Catalyst, the company you are actually buying from has changed name three times and owner three times, and untangling it takes a moment.3
Catalyst was built by DataFinch Technologies, founded in Atlanta in 2010 by Coby and Janet Lund, both doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Separately, a company called TheraNest was founded in 2013 and became the base of a therapy-software group named Therapy Brands. At some point DataFinch joined it — and this is the unusual part, because nobody has ever published when or for how much.4
Therapy Brands itself passed through Providence Strategic Growth, then Lightyear Capital and Oak HC/FT, then KKR, which took majority control in 2021. In April 2025 the whole group was renamed Ensora Health and Catalyst became Ensora Data Collection. The app store listing still shows DataFinch Technologies as the seller.2
