Noteable took a different route from most of this category. Founded in 2013, it is still run by its three founders — all three are on its team page today in the chief executive, product and technology roles.1

Stu Perkins came from software — a senior engineer at Symantec before starting a consultancy in 2012. Jonathan Weaber came from the other side: he had been director of operations for a multi-program community-based behavioral health provider in Virginia. Chris Johnson brought twenty years of technical management. They connected in 2013 and built the product together.1

The company publishes no customer count and no revenue figure, and as a private company it files nothing that would reveal either. What can be established from its own site is that the three people who built it still run it.1

What we could not confirm 3 open questions
  • Customer count, user count and revenue are not published anywhere.2
  • No employee number is stated; we counted the team page rather than relying on a claim.1
  • We describe the absence of outside investment carefully on purpose. A securities-filing search proves only that no filing exists under that name; it cannot establish who owns the company, whether it has ever changed hands, or whether money was raised without an announcement.2

How we researched this. Every numbered citation above links to the document it came from — a company or investor announcement, a regulatory filing, or a government business register. Funding aggregators were used only to find those documents, never as a source for a figure: where a widely repeated number has no traceable origin, we leave it out and say so.
