The Biggest ABA Companies in America (2026)
No one publishes a real ranking of ABA providers, so we built one from the federal NPI registry. 234 companies hold three or more registered locations; the largest holds 94. What the data shows, and what it can't.
Here is the number worth knowing before anything else: the largest ABA company in America, measured by locations registered in the federal provider registry, holds 94 addresses. The whole field of multi-site operators is 234 companies holding 1,535 addresses between them — out of 20,221 registered organizations carrying the Behavior Analyst taxonomy code. Most of the industry is not a chain. It is one office with one name on the door.
Nobody publishes a real ranking of ABA providers. Trade press repeats company press releases, insurer directories go stale, and aggregators sell placement. The one complete list that does exist is a raw federal data file that almost nobody opens. So we opened it.
How this was built
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services publishes the full NPPES registry as a monthly full replacement file. We took the file dated 12 July 2026, filtered it to Entity Type 2 — organizations only, no individual practitioners — and kept every record carrying taxonomy code 103K00000X, Behavior Analyst, in any taxonomy slot. Deactivated records were removed. Each record can be checked one at a time against the NPI Registry public API.
That leaves 20,221 organizations. Grouping them by registered name gives 234 companies with three or more distinct registered addresses, and 1,535 addresses between them — 7.6% of the registry. Everything else is a name with one or two addresses on file.
The largest registered ABA companies
Every company below has its own page with the full address list, phone numbers, NPIs and registration dates, each linking back to its own record in the federal registry.

The top ten registered names hold 536 addresses — about 35% of all addresses in the multi-site set, and 2.7% of the registry as a whole. Concentration exists, but it is thinner than the industry’s own coverage implies.
What an NPI registration is, and what it is not
This distinction is the whole article, so it goes here rather than in a footnote.
An NPI record means an organization told CMS it had a location at an address and attached a taxonomy code to it. That is all. It does not mean:
- That a clinic is open. Locations close; registrations linger. A record can outlive the lease.
- That the address is a clinic at all. Plenty of registered addresses are administrative offices, billing suites or corporate headquarters.
- That the organization mainly does ABA. 103K00000X may be the primary taxonomy or one of a dozen on the record. Some of the names above belong to multi-service pediatric or behavioral health providers for whom ABA is one line of business among several.
- Anything about quality. No outcomes, no staffing ratios, no complaint history, no accreditation. Registration is not endorsement, and this list is not a recommendation. Our methodology page says the same thing at greater length.
Where registry counts and company claims diverge
The most useful thing in this dataset is not the ranking. It is the gap between what a company registers and what a company says it operates. Those are different numbers, and both are true.

Action Behavior Centers is the sharpest example. Its own timeline says Ryan and Holly Lambert established the company in Austin in 2016 — the about page dates it to April of that year, and the company’s story page says “We started off with one center in Austin.” The registry agrees on timing: its earliest ABC record is dated 13 April 2016. But of the 144 records across its two registered names, 139 are in Colorado and 5 are in Texas — for a company founded in Texas that today lists Texas first among nine states. Enumeration practice varies by company, by payer requirement and by state. Some operators enumerate every site; some enumerate a handful and bill everything through them. Read the registry as a record of registrations, not as a map of clinics.
Two other caveats worth stating plainly. A company registered under several legal names appears more than once — Action Behavior Centers occupies both second and fifth place. And a trading name is often not the registered name: Florida Autism Center is described on BlueSprig’s own site as “a division of BlueSprig” (BlueSprig), and the bulk NPPES file redacts the doing-business-as field, so trading names have to be added one at a time from company-controlled sources.
Florida is a quarter of the registry
The geography is stranger than the ranking. Of the 20,221 registered organizations, 5,441 are in Florida — 26.9% of the national total, against a state that holds roughly 6.2% of America’s children. California is second at 1,592 and Texas third at 1,290. Miami alone holds about 1,250 registrations, more than any entire state except Florida, California and Texas.
Workforce supply moves in the same direction. Florida has 8,923 BCBAs, or 19.83 per 10,000 children, against a national figure of 10.33, per the BACB certificant dashboard measured against Census child population — the numbers are on our state statistics pages. Texas, by contrast, has 5,331 BCBAs and 6.95 per 10,000 children, one of the lowest ratios in the country despite being the second-largest state by child population. Registration density and clinician density are not the same measure, and neither is a measure of whether a family can get an appointment.
What we would fix if we could
Three things limit this list, and none of them are fixable from the file alone. Grouping is by registered name, so an operator running multiple entities is undercounted unless we can document the link. Registered addresses include offices, so location counts run high for some companies and low for others. And the file is a snapshot — a month old at publication, and re-cut monthly by CMS.
What it does do is exist. Until now, the question “who actually runs the most ABA clinics” had no answer you could check. Now it has one you can open, line by line, against the federal record. If a company on this list is grouped wrongly, trading under a name we have missed, or holding registrations for locations long closed, tell us and we will correct it — corrections from the companies themselves are the most valuable kind.

By registered locations in the federal NPI registry, Hopebridge LLC is the largest single registered name, with 94 addresses carrying the Behavior Analyst taxonomy code across 12 states. Action Behavior Centers is larger by the count on its own website — it says it has more than 400 locations — but its registrations are split across two legal names totaling 144 records. A registration count is not a count of open clinics, and it says nothing about size by revenue, headcount or children served.

Does a high registration count mean a company is good?
No. An NPI record shows that an organization registered an address under a taxonomy code. It does not show that the location is open today, that it accepts your insurance, or anything at all about clinical quality, staffing or outcomes. Registration is not endorsement, and this list is not a recommendation.
Why does Florida have so many ABA organizations?
Florida accounts for 5,441 of the 20,221 registered organizations — 26.9% of the national total, against roughly 6.2% of the country's children. Miami alone holds about 1,250 registrations, more than any state other than Florida, California and Texas. Florida also has an unusually deep BCBA supply at 19.83 certificants per 10,000 children, against a national figure of 10.33.
Why does the same company appear twice on the list?
Records are grouped by registered legal name, and a company that enumerates locations under more than one legal entity appears more than once. Action Behavior Centers is the clearest case: ACTION BEHAVIOR CENTERS THERAPY LLC holds 87 records and ACTION BEHAVIOR CENTERS, LLC holds 57. We do not merge entities without a source a reader can open.
